Holiday Programs
Holiday Hope Chest |
Schools,
churches, civic groups, and business organizations participate by filling
shoebox "chests" (Holiday Hope Chests) with small gifts.
Contact the Volunteer Center during the months of November and December. |
Over
2,000Holiday Hope Chests were distributed to children
throughout
Morgan County, December 2006. |

Teen Holiday
Assistance
In
2007 the Volunteer Center provided Christmas for 78 teens, spending over
$4,194. |

|
Over $1,000 in toy donations were collected and
approximately 111 applications from children aged 0 -13 were taken for the Marine "Toys for
Tots" program. |
Can-A-Thon
In 2007, Forty corporate community partners participated in the Heart of the Valley Can-A-Thon. A 25% increase from 2006. There were 20 agencies that received food.
